The resurfacing and equipment installation at both the Holly Crossing and Wright Farms Park toddler playgrounds have been completed!

The fencing project along our east boundary has begun and will be completed in mid-October. This will now be a District owned fence.

The District is also in the process of replacing our entryway, pavilion information and park signs.

Look for a new and exciting website coming soon!

State’s Safer at Home Update

The State’s Safer at Home Guidelines were updated on Aug. 7.  Here is the current guidance:

Playgrounds

May be opened with a 6 foot spacing requirement for persons not of the same household

Basketball/Tennis Courts

May be opened with a 6 foot spacing requirement for persons not of the same household

Parks

Open, subject to restrictions of groups no larger than 10 and practice social distancing for persons who are not members of the same household.

Pavilions

The pavilions in Wright Farms and Holly Crossing Parks are now open for use and reservations.  In accordance with the State of Colorado public health guidelines, please limit your group to no more than 10 people and practice social distancing for persons not members of the same household.

Please practice social distancing and stay at home if you are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

The Tennis, Basketball and Playgrounds are Open as of June 4, 2020

Pavilions Remain Closed.

Pursuant to Colorado Public Health Order 20-28 issued on June 2, 2020, the Wright Farms Metropolitan District’s tennis courts, basketball courts and playgrounds are open. Use of the tennis courts, basketball courts and playgrounds remain subject to all State of Colorado and local public health orders and each user is responsible for knowing and following the public health orders.

Use of the tennis courts, basketball courts and playgrounds are limited to no more than 10 people at a time. Please practice good hygiene and stay home if you, anyone in your household, or anyone you have been in contact with is experiencing a fever or any other signs of illness.

Pursuant to Public Health Order 20-28, the pavilions in both Wright Farms and Holly Crossing Park remain closed to all use. We know the pavilions are an important community amenity. The District will continue to monitor State and local guidance regarding the pavilions and will open them as soon as we are able.

Toddler playground at Wright Farms Park

We have a new toddler playground at our Wright Farms Park, located at 12355 Krameria Street!  The playground is designed for the 2 to 5 year age group.

The Tennis Court renovations have also been completed.  They will be resurfaced this spring.

Board Member Vacancy

There is a vacancy on the five member Board of Directors for the WFMD. Board members are elected, non-partisan positions, with each Board member serving a four year term. To serve on the Board, an individual must be an eligible elector of the District, meaning that he or she is registered to vote in Colorado and either resides in the District, owns property in the District (or is a spouse or civil partner of an owner of property in the District). If you are interested in being appointed to the Board vacancy, please submit a letter of interest to Catherine Bright.

Tennis Court Renovations

The tennis courts located at Glacier Peak Elementary are going to be renovated this summer. They have been redesigned to eliminate the drainage issue and add safety features.

Toddler Playground coming to Wright Farms Park

A toddler playground will be installed at the Wright Farms Park, located at 12245 Niagra Street, this summer. The playground is designed for the two to five year age group. The playground will be similar to the one recently installed at the Holly Crossing Park, only slightly smaller.
